5 Perfect Collagen Recipes for Summer (2024)

In the middle of a hot season such as summer, you might crave the sweet, cold treats that will cool down your body and provide some comfort. It could not be easier to satisfy these cravings and continue to optimize your health with the help of some creative recipes using collagen protein.

Instead of a sugar-laden agua fresca, try this refreshing and naturally sweetened, sparkling, summer drink. It’s a great way to quench your thirst and provides a boost of essential nutrients with the help of collagen peptides.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups cantaloupe
  • 3/4 cup sparkling water
  • 1 scoop The Myers Way® Collagen Protein

Instructions:

  1. Puree melon in blender or food processor. If you want to strain out the pulp, use a fine sieve and strain juice or use as is with the pulp.
  2. In your favorite summer-time pitcher, mix melon puree, sparkling water and lemon.
  3. Pour into glasses and garnish with mint leaves.

It’s full of healthy fats and protein, so it makes a fantastically satisfying snack. Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk
  • juice from 1 lemon
  • 3 ice cubes

  • 1/2 avocado

Instructions:

  1. Blend blueberries, coconut milk, lemon juice, ice cubes, collagen and avocado in a blender until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spoon into serving dishes and serve.

There’s no need to sip on an alcoholic beverage when you can prepare a gut-friendly mocktail featuring naturally sweetened ginger beer and my favorite source of protein — collagen!

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 20 mint leaves
  • 1 cup Zevia Ginger Beer
  • 2 scoops The Myers Way® Collagen Protein

Instructions:

  1. Divide lime juice and mint leaves evenly between two glasses. Muddle in the bottom of the glass.
  2. In a separate glass, whisk together ginger beer and collagen until completely combined. Alternatively, place ginger beer and collagen in a blender and lightly blend to combine.
  3. Place ice in each glass. Pour ginger beer mixture evenly into each glass. Stir and serve.

Lastly, I want to share my go-to summer indulgence… popsicles. I love fruit popsicles. It makes me so happy that I can enjoy one of my favorite icy desserts without sacrificing my health. With this recipe, you’re actually supporting your health, and promoting a healthy gut lining because of the special ingredient that’s stolen all of our hearts. With a juicy and flavorful summer fruit, you can actually relax under the summer sun with a classic hot weather dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen cherries
  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 2-4 drops stevia (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and combine.
  2. Pour into popsicle molds and place in freezer. Freeze for 3 hours or overnight.
